Hi my name is Monica and I used to be a chronic over-exerciser.
I was a dancer, runner, biker, yogi and pilates instructor.
In 2020 I started experiencing chronic fatigue, thyroid problems, severe anxiety and decreased ability to exercise.
My body needed a break.
I started creating easy Pilates classes to help maintain my flexibility, mobility and strength without causing stress to my body.
This style of Pilates is inspired by its true nature; rehabilitation.
I want to share these classes with people struggling to exercise whether from lack of motivation, disability or illness.
If we support our spine we can activate our natural healing response!
This style of Pilates helped me find a healthy relationship with exercise.

I, Monica McClelland, am a Functional & Energetic Gut Health Coach, Balanced Body Pilates Instructor, and dancer. I have been teaching Pilates for three years both in-person and online. I started teaching in various studios in New York City and aspired to teach with rehabilitation in mind. Why? Because going to a 45-minute class where you are mindlessly repeating exercises to “feel the burn” will bring more stress to your already stressed-out body.
Pilates has many different faces and styles as well as an intense reputation.
My philosophy is all about the movement principles and moving mindfully to build body awareness. This approach makes Pilates accessible and more welcoming to all!
My business is called Mind Your Gut. I help people struggling with digestive disorders like SIBO and IBS by integrating functional medicine and nervous system balancing through energetic and somatic self-healing.
Healing movement is a HUGE part of how I help people.
If you purchase the Easy Peasy Pilates Library you will find out how you can
